ANA is part of the world’s largest private airport operator VINCI Airports and manages 10 airports in Portugal. ANA is managed through several central departments that enable the business needs across the organization in partnership with the airport teams (i.e., Lisbon, Faro, Porto, Madeira and the Azores).
The Engineering and Asset Management Department is one of those central departments, counting with a multidisciplinary team responsible for the development and management of infrastructure investment projects across the airports and facilities.
Main functions/responsibilities:
• Ensuring the management of contracts for design/ build/ construction/ supervision of processes under the responsibility of Engineering and Asset Management Department;
• Collaborating in the coordination of teams (contractor and supervision), ensuring strict compliance with the respective contractual conditions;
• Overseeing the supervision of the works, managing the execution of the contract, namely monitoring cost control, deadlines, quality, safety and environmental aspects, ensuring compliance with internal standards, applicable legislation and regulation and all the provisions stipulated in the specifications and other contractual documents;
• Consigning the works and the opening of the construction site and ensure compliance with all the necessary procedures so that they can be carried out within the defined deadlines;
• Analyzing job certifications (Bill of Quantities) regarding contractors and supervision services;
• Ensuring, when necessary, the correct processing of additional works, as well as the extension of deadlines or suspensions;
• Carrying out inspections for the purpose of acceptance, analyze and verify technical compilations and as-built drawings;
• Carrying out the acceptance of the works and all the procedures inherent to their closure, as well as intervention during the guarantee period, if necessary;
• Ensuring the adequate construction document management;
• Collaborating in contracting/ procurement processes (consultations, tenders, analysis and comparison of proposals);
• Performing tasks within the scope of Occupational Health and Safety and, within this scope, support/represent the Engineering and Asset Management Department.
Qualifications, technical knowledge and requirements:
· Degree in Civil Engineering;
· Three years' experience in similar functions in the construction area;
· Experience in works supervision;
· Training in Occupational Health and Safety (level 6), with valid certification (preferential);
· Experience as Construction Site Safety Coordinator - CSO (preferential);
· Knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards on Occupational Health and Safety (preferential);
· Experience in environmental management of buildings and/or construction (preferential);
· Solid knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) and Teams (preferential);
· Driving licence;
· Fluent in English.
