Role description

VINCI Airports, as the leading private airport operator in the world, manages the development and operation of 45 airports located in France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Serbia, Cambodia, Japan, the United States, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Chile and Brazil. Served by more than 250 airlines, VINCI Airports' network handled 255 million passengers in 2019 (including traffic at London Gatwick). Through its expertise as a comprehensive integrator, VINCI Airports develops, finances, builds and operates airports, leveraging its investment capability, international network and know-how to optimise the management and performance of existing airport infrastructure, facility extensions and new-build construction projects. In 2018, its annual revenue for managed activities amounted to €3.6 billion, for consolidated revenue of €1.6 billion.

Under the supervision of the Legal Department of VINCI Airports, you will participate in the day-to-day management of legal queries, during both the development and operation phases of VINCI Airports :

  • Development phase: legal assistance in the bidding process in order to award concession rights and/or finalize acquisitions, in France and internationally. You will participate in the analysis and development of contractual structures and draft contracts.
  • Operation phase: pragmatic legal advice to our airport subsidiaries.

You will intervene on legal issues relating to public and private law, with a dominance of public law: questions related to the ownership of public law, aviation law, various contracts with clients, service providers, and other business partners. You will also be responsible for ensuring the legal monitor of new legislation and reviewing contract templates.

  • You have completed or are completing a Master degree in Law, specialized in Business Law or Public Business Law, with ideally a first experience of 6 months in a legal in-house team or in a law firm.  An admission into law school (CRFPA – French bar exam) would also be greatly appreciated.
  • Very good linguistic skills in English are necessary. The practice of Spanish would be an asset.
  • Good use of Word, PowerPoint and Excel required.
  • You would like to use your intellectual curiosity in order to work on legal issues related to the airports operations, in France and internationally. Your excellent legal background allows you to apprehend both private and public law issues.
  • You are known for your proactive attitude, excellent writing skills, ability to summarize, and are currently searching for an enriching internship in a company committed to its international development. Knowledge of the airport sector would be an asset (Master IFURTA, ENAC).

Internship starting from July 2020.
