Role description

Reporting to the Operations Director and the Airport Equipment Manager (Technical Department), the Security Coordination Intern collects best practices in the network, review information from the security stakeholders and coordinate several group-wide transversal projects covering technical, operational and maintenance aspects.

 

Role and activities:

He/she is in charge of:

- Follow up current security projects in the network : hold bag EDS standard 3 integration in France, cabin bag EDS CB3 implementation (UK) and trials coordination (Portugal, Lyon,…), body scanner performance


- Review of all security equipment categories and technological ‘watch’: feedback from the network, meeting with suppliers, writing of technological watch and operational summary/recommendation notes for airports


- Review of regulatory situation, current and future, of all countries in which Vinci Airports are present


- Survey and analyse all solutions in the network to produce guidelines for new check point security project or inform the acquisition process of new airports:

  • Equipment
  • Layout
  • Operations organisation
  • Conops
  • Contracts and Service Level agreement
  • Performance (throughput, staff per lane,…)

- Mapping of supplier, technological watch. Produce a supplier engagement strategy together with Vinci Airports Purchasing manager.


- Coordinate and facilitate Vinci Airports security committee and organise/facilitate the transversal projects identified by this committee.
 

 

 

Profile

  • Generalist, Civil, Electro-mechanical, Industrial or aviation/aeronautical graduate Engineer with high interest in airport projects and airport operations.
  • Knowledge of airport security environment and airports in general is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in an international, multi-cultural, transversal (Operation, technical, maintenance,…) and business oriented context 
  • Rigor and developed communication/coordination skills.
  • Outgoing, endowed with recognized relational qualities;
  • Strong leadership, autonomy, proactivity
  • Team player and self‐motivated / ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to convey, assimilate and summarise technical contents, project outcome and results internally or externally; to colleagues, clients or other stakeholders, in the form of reports or présentations.
  • Language: Fluent English (mandatory, written and spoken), French (optional), Spanish (optional). Most of the discussions and documents will be in English.
  • Mobile for regular trips to the main airports of the group.
